With these words, the brilliant writer and master begins his novel series entitled ‘Diuna’. The novel is set in the very distant future and tells the fate of the inhabitants of a mysterious desert planet.
The eponymous Dune, a desert planet known to the natives as Arrakis, becomes the centre of the universe thanks to its deposit of melange – a substance that prolongs life and also enables clairvoyance. The planet is inhabited by the ‘Fremen’, a.k.a. free people, who possessed characteristically deep blue eyes through long contact with the spice.
The depth of this novel, which contains a combination of adventure and mysticism, inspired us to create a unique jewellery collection with the same title.

We present to you the ‘Diuna’ collection, which reflects the many meanings and messages contained in the novel. One of them is the maxim ‘Wisdom comes from the desert’. Especially for this collection, we have chosen striped flint, which, in addition to being subtly reminiscent of the desert, perfectly matches the blue stones associated with the blue eyes of the Fremen. An additional feature of striped flint is its uniqueness, as it is only found in the world in the region of Krzemionki Opatowskie and in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
